Conference

A meeting held periodically to conduct the business of the Church, to confirm the appointment of officers and to instruct and encourage Church members. Conferences may be held at ward, stake, regional or global (general) levels. The Church conducts two general conferences annually, in April and October. These are for the benefit of the entire Church membership and are led by the First Presidency of the Church.
