Church Leaders Extend Warm Wishes on the Occasion of Eid al-Adha

The Middle East/Africa North Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints issued the following statement on the occasion of Eid al-Adha:

We extend our warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to our Muslim brothers and sisters as they celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha.

Eid al-Adha is a time of reflection, sacrifice and unity, commemorating the faith and devotion of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) (AS). It is a time of offering prayers, sharing meals and extending acts of kindness and charity. We admire the values of compassion, generosity and selflessness that Eid al-Adha embodies.

During this holiday we encourage all to join us in expressing gratitude for the diverse religious traditions that enrich our communities. Let us continue to build bridges of understanding, friendship and respect, celebrating the common values we share.

May this Eid al-Adha bring joy, peace and blessings to all who celebrate it. May the spirit of sacrifice and unity inspire us all to strengthen our bonds of love and foster a world where understanding and respect prevail.

Eid Mubarak!
