Elder Weatherford T. Clayton 

Elder Weatherford T. Clayton was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 2, 2016. At the time of his call, he was serving as president of the Canada Toronto Mission. He is currently serving at Church headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah as an assistant executive director in the Missionary Department. He is also serving as the chairman of Missionary Health Services.

Elder Clayton received a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1977 and a medical degree in 1981, both from the University of Utah. He worked as a resident physician at UC Irvine until 1985 and had his own medical practice until 2013, after which he worked as a laborist until he retired in 2014.

Elder Clayton has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the French Canadian Mission, bishop, counselor in a stake presidency, stake president, ward Young Men president, family history consultant, and mission president.

William Weatherford Touchstone Clayton was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 1, 1952. He married Lisa Madeline Thomas in 1976. They are the parents of five children.
