Brother Adrian Ochoa

Elder Adrián Ochoa was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 6, 2013. At the time of his call, he had been serving as Second Counselor in the Young Men General Presidency. Elder Ochoa has served as President of the Central America Area. He is currently serving at Church headquarters as an assistant executive director of the Missionary Department and as Second Counselor in the North America Southwest Area Presidency.

Elder Ochoa was educated primarily in Mexico. He graduated in science communication from the Regiomontana University in Monterrey, Mexico, with an emphasis in advertising. He studied marketing at the State University of Nuevo Leon (Universidad Autónoma) and obtained a diploma in business administration from the Monterrey Technical College (ITESM).

He was a university professor for a few years. He had a successful career in digital marketing and in advertising, mostly helping international companies consolidate their brands and improve their market share. He was involved in the film and video industry as well.

Elder Ochoa has held many Church callings over the years, including stake president and area director of public affairs. As an Area Seventy, he served for five years as a counselor in the Mexico North Area Presidency. He also served as a mission president, a counselor in the Young Men General Presidency, and as a counselor in the Central America Area Presidency.

Adrián Ochoa Quintana was born in San Francisco, California, on March 7, 1954. He married Nancy Villarreal in May 1987. They are the parents of five children.
